Hey Kerri!!! Good to "see" you! Shoe also hates the vet with a passion. It got to the point where we couldn't take him anywhere else in the car because he'd get so freaked out he wouldn't calm down even if it was just to the park. He's an oooold Sheltie now (16 yo) so he's got a large amount of health problems, but my dad is mainly the one who takes care of him. He was going to move to my apartment...

Gym?

unless you are training for some type of endurance event and are sure this is something you can maintain for a lifestyle there is no reason to "work out a couple of hours a day" Does the gym have trainers? You may want to see if you can get a free session or pay for a couple of sessions to get you going.

I just did UFBW. I'm surprised that I burned 336 calories without step work. I've seen somewhere that it is considered C+S, but the sculpting was on the light side. How do you guys classify it? I'm trying to do a fat-burning 4-week rotation, 3 days C+S and 3 days C. I don't want to short myself on the C+S. Have a great evening and weekend!

Jamala Seattle Good Morning All, Steph, so sorry about your headache!! I have one too, grrr. This new BCP is throwing me for a loop. I am seriously considering giving them the heave-ho tomorrow. I doubt we would get "el preggo" immediately, but you never know. Being my "mature" age and all ;-) Thanks on Lola, she is such a doll! Lucky is such a cutie too, but starting to show his age. Lola is 3 years old...

Hi, Nicole. Welcome to the Grad Board, and congratulations. Good luck on your race tomorrow. As for being warm enough, what Amy said! And wear a hat amd gloves or mittens. A gator is handy too...(It was about 34 this am when I ran: my attire: underarmor tights, short sleeved tech shirt, long sleeved very thin tech shirt, long sleeved heavier tech shirt, gloves, hat, gator. I ran almost 3 miles and was carrying my gloves by the end, and I...

Back from WI with a .8 loss ~ I soooooo did NOT deserve this. I would've been happy with a small gain or even a maintain after Th & Friday's foodfest. I guess it does make up for those WIs that I felt jipped LOL! Thanks for the SVs Christie - they more than worked!

Fitlizzy - congrats for graduating C25K. Are you stretching good before and after your runs? You may need to take a bit of a break while you recover. If the pain continues, you may want to see a doctor to make sure you didn't do anything too serious. Don't worry about not being able to get back to running 3 miles....you've gotten this far - you know you can do it...take care of yourself so that you will be able to continue on...

Today's a DOR other than a planned lunchtime walk, after running and having a personal trainer session yesterday. I feel ok so far other than my strained hip/butt muscle. I do feel that but not too bad. I'll call and leave a message to tell the trainer, just as an FYI for him. Potter - I asked him about stuff to do in between sessions, other than cardio. When he heard I had a Bowflex at home, he recommended that I actually use it....

Traci Wyoming Good Morning Everyone! Yesterday I did really well staying OP, yea!!! So far today is going well also. Leaving work around noon today and plan on getting in my run when I get to my parents house around three. Then my poor little Maisie has to go to the vet :( Just to do her annual heart worm test, but she still hates the place so it make me sad to take her. Not sure why, but they want me to bring in a stool sample... they only...

Sorry for being MIA lately. I've been battling a cold and work is not fun.
Today was fun. I am a member of DAILY MILE and found a girl that is local and we've been chatting online. She asked me if I wanted to run together so I said YES! Normally I would be too nervous to do that! She said we run the same pace (you can see eachothers runs ...

Good Morning Everyone -
I did strength training last night, and wow am I sore today. She really worked our arms and shoulders last night. Those are my weak spots, and I feel like I did about 1000 push ups last night.

I am feeling AMAZING! I ran my first 3 miles while we were away for the holiday, so I got to use a better track, then last night I did day 2 and hit the road instead of the track, that was great! Tonight I will hit the track again as it is getting pretty dark by the time I get off work. I can't ...

I only count purposeful exercise.
I do count things like weight lifting but they are low intensity since heart rate is not elevated very much so will rarely be more than 1 AP.
If I do workout more than once a day I count it. But I count each time separately. Ie if I did really short workouts at different times of the day I would not add the ...

Hey y'all. Well, I've come to a realization that I kind of thought may be coming soon. I don't think WW is working for me. I love this program and I owe it a lot for whipping me in to shape as a teenager and teaching me so much about nutrition and exercise then and now, but whether it's me or the program, it's not working. It's possible that I have a ...
