I love the site http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/ it really helped me when I did my first tri. Also I don't know how good of a swimmer you are, but for me that was the hardest part. After I did a few tri's, I found a swimming coach that really helped me. You may want to look into it if you have never swam competitively. Good Luck. It is so much fun.
