Thanks Burr, I have downloaded Malwarebyte and done a full scan - it found and sorted loads of probs - I will kill my step son when i see him over Xmas (not really - love him to bits). Thanks once again and have a happy xmas Bob

I’m glad you found/removed it, well done. I would uninstall AVG as the free version has lost its way somewhat, over the past few years. Install Microsoft Security Essentials, which includes Defender, here http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/support.aspx?mkt=en-us Also, install the free Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware in the left pane here http://www.malwarebytes.org/ and run a quick scan, say, fortnightly. It’s not a Vista file/problem! Have you had a recent infection? It sounds as though one of your ‘anti’ programs has removed the malware file(s) but not the reference that loads it. Is there actually anything on your D drive (107GB with 107GB free)? If not, you could delete that partition so that it creates Unallocated Space, which you can then use to increase the size of C drive. Hi amber99 They do seem to put things in some out of the places The way I find the easiest is to a make new folder on your desktop and name it the same as you camera. When you come down load the pics, send them to your camera folder Steve
