What Fusion says is right. I let SAS (free) run on startup as I like to have the right click option available. Since my startup is quite quick, I don't think that SAS slows it down. It's not the last program to load anyway. It used to be the case that if you were running the free version of SAS, you got the SAS banner whenever it started and you couldn't turn it off. This is no longer the case and if it runs you can turn it off...
