Here's a screen grab of my McAfee SiteAdvisor greyed out including the "View Site Report" and "Show Balloon." I was hoping yours is also greyed out because it's quite common problem(judging by lots of hits/results I got when I googled the problem) that the McAfee SiteAdvisor button would randomly not be working...but the misery seems to be all mine. My McAfee SiteAdvisor appears to be working normally. This is on Firefox 3.5.5. I also have it on IE8, but I haven't checked that. Is yours still greyed out or has it started working again now?

Many thanks all, I've gone for Comodo, but Sheesh it's hard work! Pop ups galore each time I click on something new and, questions each time asking my permission to allow. I wouldn't mind but most times I have to click three times before it's satisfied???

I have a Toshiba laptop running Vista Home Premium. Also AVG v9.0. Since updating AVG, Windows Defender switches off each time I shut down the computer. It is ticked to load at startup in the System Configuration, but it doesn't, and I have to switch it on manually each time. Can somebody tell me what is wrong, please?

Hello Sarah, Did you actually have 5 updates to install, or was that a typo? I had the same 3 updates you mention above and nothing odd has happened. I did get a couple of updates on 12th Nov, so maybe they were the other 2 you needed if you had 5 to install. You could try going to Windows Update and running the 'Express' check to find out which updates have been downloaded ready to ...
