Webuser Forums: Audacity Question

You might want to take a look at WavePad Sound Editor . There's a free version (not sure of any restrictions) but it does appear to convert to MP3 (Tools > Batch convert) at various bit rates. EDIT: Glad you're sorted. (Bit late with this one, should check thread before posting.)

I've just had another look. You can change the bit rate by going to File > Export (set drop down menu to mp3) > options ans selecting the required bit rate.

Yes, the right-side of the pane is visible, but track listings are missing. However, I have inserted older CD's and get track listings for previous albums. If I insert a CD with 2 discs, I sometimes get the correct track list for the first disc, but when I insert the second disc, it still gives me details for the first disc. Anyone else have problems with this in WMP? As I've said, the tracklisting & album art appears...

Try this potential fix: Assuming your using XP, with WMP closed, navigate to the Media Player folder via C:\Documents and Settings\ UserName \Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft . Rename the folder to say old_Media Player then insert your CD. WMP will create another folder to use when it's opened. Check to see if the track listing is now correct in the list pane as you play the CD in WMP. If this is successful, you will have an...

Webuser Forums: QuickTime 7.6.5

An update of QuickTime to the above version is available. You can get it either via Apple Software Update if you've got it or from here on the Apple site. I don't know why, but it's a bigger download from the Apple Software Update program, over 37MB I think, and only 31MB from their site. Odd.

Hello. I would like to record streaming audio from BBC Radio 4 live, to my laptop hard-disc and then back it up to CD/DVD - I'm aware of and use the BBC iPlayer. Any software suggestions please? Thanks, Kev.

Hello again, I posted before about music download sites but it seems there's not many use them or is that because everyones illegal and can't post here. Anyway, being in spain it seems that Napster and spotify seem to be my only choice. The problem I have/am still having is that I can't seem to find a definitive answer as to the cost of this service. I understand that for $10 a month I can subscribe to napster but it seems to...

Assuming when you put an audio CD in and it opens in WMP, try clicking the arrow below the Now Playing tab and select Show List Pane . Not sure if this is exactly what you want, but it should now show you the album cover, album title, track listing and length of each track on the right side of the player ( normal mode) in it's own pane.

Rapidshare, in itself, isn't an illegal site. However, I thinks it fair to say that much of it'd content is, in that they are illegal copies of copyright material - applications, MP3s, PDFs of books and magazines, movies, TV shows, etc., and there's no guarantee the files are 'clean', or indeed what they purport to be. There is some legitimate content but percentage-wise it's very ...
