For some reason I can't help thinking of Paris, 1950/60s, Charles Trenet, Johnny Hallyday, Françoise Hardy, Marianne Faithful even... but not Jacques Brel.

I can't get inside the mindset of the people that thought that up. Amazingly OS have survived all these years without this 'feature' It puts me off going for Windows 7 completely, if they roll it out to Vista and XP I'll switch to an OS that doesn't irritate in this way. Sometimes bright people come up with some not so bright ideas!
