McAfee changed their SiteAdvisor rating for Sendspace to green. We tested this site and didn't find any significant problems. Thought I should share this if anyone still had any doubt.

Thanks for the update House! I think McAfee SiteAdvisor does a brilliant job for a free tool but sometimes, understandably, it takes a little while to update its ratings. It's particularly useful that you can provide feedback on McAfee's Site Reports to draw attention to out-of-date information, as in this case.

The following site was included in "Best Free Software" in issue 216, page 42. In fact it is "free" for 30 days only. Perhaps Webuser could state when "free" means just for a short period, after which one must pay. http://www.singerscreations.com/

HI CCUP, If you read McAfee's site report for Sendspace (click the arrow next to the browser button and choose View Site Report) it says that the red rating was caused by pop-ups from a site called adtrgt.com - a problem that has now been fixed: Quote: Now that we've been made aware of the situation where some users experience bad popups, especially since this is coming from a ...

For some reason I can't help thinking of Paris, 1950/60s, Charles Trenet, Johnny Hallyday, Françoise Hardy, Marianne Faithful even... but not Jacques Brel.

I can't get inside the mindset of the people that thought that up. Amazingly OS have survived all these years without this 'feature' It puts me off going for Windows 7 completely, if they roll it out to Vista and XP I'll switch to an OS that doesn't irritate in this way. Sometimes bright people come up with some not so bright ideas!

Quote: Surely, just because I forget to fill in 1 field, I shouldn't have to type the whole thing again????? Unfortunately that is the case with this particular software. A tip, from the old days of dropped dial-up connections: write your post in Notepad, copy & paste, if you lose your post/content you have a copy.
