I'm in Oklahoma, in a small town in which nine tribes are headquartered, and federal/BIA policy, when it intersects with tribal politics, can be labyrinthine---it sounds like that's what happened in this case with the federal involvement and, in effect, the cover-up. And on the reservation, I suspect, as in this case, the confusion and secrecy can be doubly frustrating.

patekial hemmoraging I think they meant petechiae, or small pin point bruising to the face. If the decomp was as stated, that would be lost, as it is very surface oriented. Anyone else know the state of the certification of the Medical Examiner's Office? I was horrified to hear how bad the place was being run.

"One of the last known people to see a slain Mason County man alive is also a "person of interest" in a 14-year-old unsolved murder in Pekin, police say. "Randy Deskin, 32, of Pekin, spent part of Aug. 28 with Dustin Englebrecht, 27, at Englebrecht's rural Mason City home. Englebrecht vanished that day. His body was found Sept. 7 in a shallow grave on his property."...

Don't know about the martial arts but that is a good point. I also know that there are conflicting reports that some of the brusing on Jody's body is thought to have been before she died and it was all on her left side and she was a lefty which would be the side she would use to defend herself. They also say some of it is from when they dragged her body after she was dead but it doesn't match up to a body that would be dragged...

I wonder why they are so mum on the conditions of the girls? Perhaps because they were found on an Indian reservation?

I was also thinking possibly poison? I know there are some things that leave only trace amounts for a very short period of time. Depending on the condition of her body I think there would be a noticable amount of patekial hemmoraging if she was suffocated, and the hyoid bone would most likely be broke if she was strangled. Like I said, all depends on the condition of her remains.
