The BPD "used" the fingernail DNA ONLY in the sense that they tested it in attempting to see if there WAS usable DNA. That is it. When the DNA was proved to be unusable, it was no longer considered of use to the case. So to say that just because the BPD had it TESTED it was "usable" is false and misleading. ANY DNA has to be tested to see if there are enough markers to provide a match to a potential donor....

it does strike me as odd if it was an intruder that this person/people would use the ramsey's stuff to write a note on. also other items like the paintbrush were in the house for certain. and if it was multiple people why were some things found to have no prints and then leave DNA and that is still odd if a RDI. If someone was planning a kidnapping i would expect them to bring everything the needed with them IMO
