how to choose

I need to know other web masters' thoughts towards the best registrar. I recognize several best registrars: eurodns.com, godaddy.com and enom.com. So what would you choose? And why?

I think it can be useful feature but only if the company youare going touse is the trusted one. Most attractive are the free domains with hosting from accredited registrars, such as sibername.com.

SSL certificate

Thanks for sharing I would like to add one more point... you have two options when it comes for SSL certificates... it's shared SSL and dedicated SSL. Usually your webhost may offer you shared SSL certificate adn if you want to have your personalised certificate then you will have to get a dedicated SSL certificate. Cost varies form provider to provider...

Domains With Dashes - Page 3 -...

If you have "-" in a domain name it's easier to read it. But if you have to share this domain name over the phone, the - OH NO!! you will go mad telling "dash" so many times. And it is confusing to a listener.

I suppose the choice will depend on the domain name extension you are intersted in

Dashes are a good option while selecting a domain name. As it is, many website names have multiple words in them. It is nice to have word separators for better readability.

Nice tips. Thanks for sharing. The domain name generators, since you haven't heard of them before, will take a couple of words that you want to have included, or what your business is about. Then it gives you random names based on that-it's pretty good.
