Free website designing software?
Published (2009-11-25 05:04:00)
I haven't made any website for over 2 years now. Last time I made, I used Dreamweaver 8, however, I've lost my CD now. Since I'm being given a task to make a local community website, I wondered if there're free website designing software available that people can recommend me. I don't want anything advanced but CSS and XHTML based website is what I've in mind. Is there anything better than Dreamweaver 8 around?...

if you xportin it to DW then ur gonna need to slice it up. you could just slice out only the nav buttons if ur thinking bout linking them, and the rest you can use it up as bg.

How to put ad beside the logo on...

I think it all depends on what technique you used to layout your sites. Usually a nesting DIV tag to hold the new ad image would be enough. Have a nice day,

Best website design tool - Page...

Personally I prefer Illustrator to Fireworks. Fireworks’ typography abilities are rather pathetic. What I would much rather see from the app is the ability to style elements the same way I would those very elements with CSS. That would be MUCH more useful to me and that way I’d have all the features I could honestly really need. However it doesn’t do this and as such I find Photoshop and Illustrator to be much more useful tool.

The most common advice anyone would give you is to learn Adobe Dreamweaver. It is one of the most famously known program for website design.

I have been coding HTML for about 6 years. Started with Notepad as my editing program. Have recently decided to take some formal instructions in coding HTML and CSS. Notepad is the ONLY editing program permitted for the class. So it is back to Notepad.

Designing for web and print are two different experiences. Just because a designer is good at one doesn't mean they'll be good at the other. It's necessary to understand that web and print share many similarities, but they also have many differences.

The H tags are heading tags that format your text into headings. H1 is the most prominent (largest), H2 the second, and so forth. You need to mind the content of each heading tag, it's probably a good idea. What he is essentially saying is that the search engines look to these tags for relevant meaning for SEO.
