that December mommies are experiencing progress & going into labor. So wonderful! I'm a little freaked out knowing that it is more likely that I will be meeting my little girl the 16th or the 23rd but I am so thankful to be meeting her soon. It's hard to believe that we are all so close to the end of this journey. -- Stacey, DD#1 (2), DD#2 due December 30th, 2009!

Well after a couple of days with cramps and contractions, today I haven't felt a thing except a little shooting pains from walking! Can't help but be a little disappointed, I thought maybe things were going to get going!! My mother told me that my grandmother had two weeks of false labor before she actually had her youngest child... Oh I hope that doesn't happen to me!! Don't you just looove spending every day wishing for...

Replying to: trip to L and D sorry about the wasted trip to L&D, however it's always better to be safe than sorry. Hopefully you're headache is better by now. As for the contractions not registering, that happened to me last time I was in the hospital. I was definitely feeling mild contractions, though they were not registering. Granted, I was only 26 weeks or so, but I couldn't believe they weren't showing up....

Aw. Have you tried witch hazel pads for hemorrhoids? Works great.
You can buy them or make your own on little cotton balls.
You could call one of the motherrisk hotline numbers if you wanted an answer ASAP about the contractions.
Just google it.

Lurking from 2nd tri... Have you tried contacting the manufacturer of the car seat? Usually if you contact them directly you can get replacement parts for little to nothing. Usually the instruction manual will give you a number to call or website to visit. I know with the car seat I bought I can get extra parts from the company. I haven't ever seen...

8 days until term! 29 days until EDD! However at my 36 wk d/a today my OB said I was still high and closed and to not expect this baby any time soon. In fact he pretty much said, expect her to be late. Yippee for more days of pregnancy!

I'm due 3 days after you. I have not gained any weight. Doc isn't worried though because baby looked fine when I had my 20 week u/s and my belly is measuring just right. I gained 11 lbs with DD and she weighed 6.5 lbs. If your doc wants you to gain more weight, call to ask what you should eat/drink. Ensure might be a good choice.
