Replying to: finger foods Before DD got her one lonely little tooth, we were giving her Cheerios and yogurt melts, as well as puffs and she did just fine. I never broke any of them up and she just gummed away at them until they were gone. The Cheerios do take quite awhile before they're soft enough to swallow but she didn't seem to mind. I just have to watch her because she knows she can't have more until she swallows the first...

Replying to: Christmas Present Idea That's what my DH wants, ASAP, but he's settling for February. We'll see if that's when I go off birth control or if I feel like we need to wait a bit longer.

Replying to: Solids Advice Emma has her two bottom teeth, but she only uses them to shred the Gerber cheese doodle things. I give her all sorts of soft fruits. I steamed some apples and pears at first. Once she got the hang of it, I just cut them up small and didn't steam them. I tried the mesh thing with some bananas, but it was way too messy for me. Emma wanted to play with it more than eat what was in it. She has had kiwi and loved...

We just went to the doc the other day and Cole doesn't have any teeth yet either, but my mom told the doc that I didn't get my first tooth until I was 15 months, she said I was potty trained before getting my first tooth lol, but she said I did just fine...

Sanibelle is eating around 3-4 stage 2 Gerber foods a day. I would say she is drinking about 20 ounces of formula a day. She continues to only take about 4 ounces throughout the day and one 8 ounce at night. I don't give her cereal because it causes some MAJOR constipation. I just got her some yogurt melts and some of those Gerber crunchie things, and she seems to like the crunchies but tends to gag with the melts. I feel like I need to...

Replying to: No interest in formula? Wow Sarah what was that about??? Read the label. Just because Gerber makes something or any other company for your baby doesnt mean its good for them. Especially if the poor thing is refusing formula. Grow up

Replying to: No interest in formula? Let me set things straight...I was NOT implying that I substitue my son's formula feedings with water or juice. I'm pretty sure I never said that. I was simply asking for "suggestions" as my title stated. My son does not seem interested in his formula so I was hoping for a little input as to how to get him to take it. It seems like some people on here make more of an attack as they...

Replying to: Best toy ever! Emma just started the whispering a couple of days ago. I bet Ellie will start doing it in no time. Emma really only says ABA or BA combos. Replying to: Daycare :( My LO is also in a daycare facility. There are 4 babies total. Two older than her and one younger. It is great. I agree that they immitate the other children. Replying to: Pasta question I have no idea why people panic so much over eggs. Unless you have an egg allergy in the family, I wouldn't worry. There are eggs in most of the prepared baby foods, like biter biscuits, animal crackers. Both of my kids started eating whole scrambled eggs around 7 or 8 months. They LOVE them!

I'll make this as short as I can. . . I had been exclusively breastfeeding (and pumping for while DS is at sitter's while I'm at work), but at DS's 4-month check-up, he hadn't gained any weight. Dr. said to feed DS only pumped breastmilk with rice cereal added, so from that point on I have been only pumping; DS has not actually "nursed." Well, with exclusively pumping, my supply has ...
