Replying to: We kicked him out! Yay Amy! What are you going to do with all that extra room in bed? DS has been sleeping in bed with me since July of LAST year. DB is on the couch At first it was no big deal and I kind of enjoyed it. A cuddly toddler compared to a snoring 30 year old. Fast forward to a year --- I need a good nights sleep! DS told me he will sleep in my bed always....

I posted this on the 2year board, and got no responses, so... I thought I'd try you all and see what you think. Ok... so, Wyatt has had more issues with seperation from mom and dad. Last weekend I went to my aunt's wedding, and took Wyatt with me cuz whenever we go to my IL's, the SCREAMS bloody murder as soon as we pull in the driveway. He does this EVERY time we visit them. We have left...

Replying to: Discipline HELP PLEASE!!!! You know what? I resented the heck out of that as a child. My mother did that, "I'm telling your father" thing. She knew full well that my stepfather had an anger issue and that he beat the cr out us. I resented it then, and I lived in total fear for days at a time. I will always disrespect her for that. Lucky for her, she can't know that anymore....

Replying to: ? about toddler bedding I agree, I'd skip the toddler bed and just go straight to a regular one. It will save you from having to buy another in a year or so. If you don't want to spend a lot of money you could always just get a frame (we debated doing this) but we found a cheap bed at Target. We also got a good deal on a cute boys bed set from Target. In fact last night when...

Replying to: my child is the I don't know what the "card" system is so I can't say much on that. I know my DS had trouble adjusting for the first week of preschool. As I drove him to school, I would go over what their day might be like and what I expected him to do. It seemed to help. What types of things is he doing to get in trouble? Maybe talk to him about what you expect. "I expect you...

My son just got a nintendo ds as a gift. I want to go buy some games for him but am at a loss as to which to get for him. I want to get something that's educational and total B.S. I can TOTALLY relate to your problem! I was home all summer long w/3 kids ages 2, 3, and 5. NONE of them listened--and to top it all off, I was BIG AS A HOUSE!!!! Also, we are trying to sell our house, so we were/still are living in a 2 bedroom house! Space is a premium! And getting up and down to chase/discipline kids was MURDER. The pain was excruciating! I understand how you feel....

Hello - I am lurking here as neither of my girls is 3 anymore, but I wanted to comment on your post below about your DS's behavior at school. I would seriously consider would Zoe said about it possibly not being a good fit for your DS. My DD2 is 4 (since July). She is not the most socially outgoing child, but she is generally well behaved. She had been in a preschool/daycare setting for ...

Replying to: Lurking, Toddler Bed/Regular Bed ?? Wow, wish I could have kept DD in crib that long. she was in a bed at 18 mos do you need the crib for #2? if so then I would do a big boy room for him. our crib didn't convert and we didn't have an extra twin bed so we bought an inexpensive IKEA toddler bed and mattress. She was too small to put in our old double bed. when we found ...

My twins turn 3 in a month! What do your DC like to play with at this age? At the toy store last week, all DD wanted were things with Disney princesses, and DS like fire trucks. Also, do any of your DC have a camera? Is it real or a toy? DD and DS are fascinated with my camera and love pretending to take pictures. Thanks! -- Stacey~~ Mom to Joshua and Abigail born 11-3-05. 2-year stats: ...

Last week DS really started potty training. He had been wearing a diaper and basically I would ask him if he had to use the potty. He would tell me yes then he would go. His diapers would stay dry with the exceptions of a few accidents. Or pooping. He has also been using his "little" potty chair which he seems to prefer. We went out of town this weekend. Friday- Sunday. He has done GREAT! If we...

...if I decide it's a good idea to take our daughter on a little mini-trip again before she's sleeping in a real bed & potty trained. We hadn't traveled with her since she was about a year old, so we decided to go up north for an overnight trip. We thought she'd have fun collecting rocks on the beach, swimming in the hotel pool, etc. Just a fun little trip. We planned ahead and got a suite, ...

Not ready, Ready, Starting out, Part way there, or Old Pro? 2 How did you know your DC was ready? 3 What method worked best for you and DC? 4 How old was DC when you started to train? 5 How long did it take for DC to "get it"? 6 Have you had ...

Replying to: Wills We had talked about this, but have not put in writing as we should. We have a similiar situation- right down to the SIL in NYC My sister is the choice because she is the one that DDs are most familiar/comfortable with and it would not as disruptive for them to go to her.
