labor, help! - Parenting:...
Published (2009-11-03 12:35:05)
I have a question for all you mamas!! I am 39 weeks today and I have been having awful pain! You think I would know what labor is like since I went through it 17 months ago, but this baby is very different! I was wondering if any of your labors started out with constant pelvic, hip, and tailbone pain. Now I know it's common for all of these to hurt, esp at the end but this seems different. It is a burning feeling. I never had it with DD....

Replying to: labor, help! With Owen mine started with a lot of pressure, not really pain and then my water broke within an hour. I agree with PP; call L&D and see what they say. GL!! Keep us posted.

Replying to: stacking blocks poll DS is 14 months and has been stacking for awhile. We have some blocks that are kinda "sticky" material so they do stack easier. I wonder if it is just blocks they are looking for or if he puts anything on top of something else?

Replying to: labor, help! I was induced, but my lower back just started hurting terribly while I was laying there waiting for something to happen. The nurse came in and said I was contracting pretty hard and pretty quickly, and I didn't even know. And no position change would help it either. So that's how mine started...Good Luck!!! Hope we'll be reading your birth story soon! Easy labor vibes being sent your way.

Niece has H1N1:( - Parenting:...
Published (2009-11-03 12:38:31)
Replying to: Niece has H1N1:( I know 4 people who got it. 95% of the flu cases in my county are H1N1 so it seems that H1N1 may actually be this year's seasonal flu since it is so common. Just a thought. One of the people I know is a baby that was 14 months. Yep, she lived but it was still a VERY scary time for her family. She got it after going to an NFL football game where her dad plays. Definitely an environment riddled with germs and...

Replying to: stacking blocks poll DS started trying to stack blocks a while ago. Usually, he would try when I was stacking them.. adding onto the pile, etc.. He's a pro at it now, although he does seem to prefer knocking them down 2/3 of the time..... DS started stacking around 11 months, and is currently 15 months old....

Replying to: stacking blocks poll DD is 13 months and really wants nothing to do with the blocks. I've sat with her on a few occasions and she has stacked 3 or 4 but really had limited interest in it. She would much rather do whatever my 2 year old is doing. DS was the opposite of her. At this age he was obsessed with blocks and stacking them. DD would rather play with the kitchen set or her baby dolls. I wouldn't worry ---...

How much whole milk? -...
Published (2009-11-03 11:57:37)
Replying to: How much whole milk? even though she has a diary allergy, she isn't allergic to cheddar cheese (only cheddar) So she gets a stick of cheddar cheese a day for a snack. I've tried yogurt, but she breaks out in hives. I should try and give her more milk a day, but I'm afraid it'll ruin her appetite for her regular meals

Replying to: stacking blocks poll My LO just started to be able to keep one block on top of another a week or 2 ago. She has been trying for a month maybe, but couldn't get them to stay because she was too rough. She only does one on top of another though, nothing higher than that. She is 13 months old.

My husband got this link in an email at work and all the girls at work and for us this turned out to be true...haven't found anyone yet where it was not true so just wanted to share and see what comes up here. It is a gender predicter for babies based on your age that you conceived and what month you conceived in. Let me know how it turns out for you... I was 26 and conceived DD the last ...

Replying to: How much whole milk? My doctor always said at least 3 servings of dairy at a minimum after age 1. That equates to 12 oz of milk at a minimum since 4 oz is a serving at this age. A serving is also a slice of cheese or 4 oz of yogurt. While Drake still breastfed he would sometimes only get in 8 ounces a day. He doesn't care for milk much even when I flavored it by mixing it ...
