Replying to: scar The appearance of scars in part has to do with the type of incision, the area in which it occurred, your genetic background as it relates to forming keloid scars, etcetera. While you can try some scar reducing creams, there's a lot more analysis that goes into considering what may or may not work and a limited window of opportunity in which to have an effect. Your best option is to consult with a dermatologist for the...

Replying to: Blood in semen Unfortunately, with my insurance, I must see my PCP first and then get a referral to a specialist, which I now have. Was just hoping to find some more information and see if anyone had similar issues and how they were resolved. Also, looking for possible ways to relieve some of the pain until my appointment. Thanks

Replying to: Worst itching I've ever had Well since my last post, I've confirmed that whatever it is, it definitely spread to my hand and wrist. There's a sparse blistering rash on the top of one of my fingers and another blister on the underside of my wrist that is extremely itchy. It is pretty consistent with how I typically react to poison ivy - which we do have a problem with around our property. However, I haven't...

Replying to: E.D. started at 18, now I'm 24 Thank you again for the information. I have a doctors appointment in 3 weeks (becasue of the holidays) but just wanted to ask a few more questions if you don't mind. Does soft tissue damage or hormones play a role in recovery time? Every time I ejaculate I lose feeling. And 2nd, does a weak urine stream, weak ejaculations (it just kind of oozes out) and the fact that my penis...

I have a question concerning erectile dysfunction. I am a 27 year old male who works out 5 times a week, I do not use drugs or drink alcohol. I have been prescribed in the past zoloft and xannax to deal with anxiety issues. I have been able to take myself off those medications both for the past 8 months now and I seem to be doing fine. I do have high blood pressure, and on meds for that at this...

Replying to: erection problem
Noctural ( spontaneous) erections demonstrate that his penis functions. So, the cause is most likely psychological. He should speak to a relationship counselor to determine what anxiety-related issues are contributing to his lack of erections during intimacy with you. The urologist would ask whether he is able to achieve and maintain an erection during ...

Replying to: Intermittent Frequent Urination
You should probably check in with a urologist about your frequency issue to make sure it's not prostate related. However, if you are variably stressed, meaning you have times were stress and anxiety are at a high level compared to other times which are much more normal, it may simply be that the stress/anxiety is the source of your frequency ...

Was diagnosed with protatitus about 5 weeks ago and put on Levaquin (500mg) once a day for 6 weeks. I was also told to ejaculate as often as possible and take hot baths. Was told I didn't have to alter my diet at all and that it was ok to have a few drinks but not too much or to drink excessively. My original symptoms were some discomfort in my groin similar to a UTI, a little bit of difficulty...

Replying to: Red & Itchy Penis
If the medication is not working and the irritation is spreading, you need to speak to your doctor. The doctor may not have it right. You could be allergic to the medication. Or something else could be going on. Also, treating a fungus can take several weeks, even when proper medication is used. They're persistent buggers.

Replying to: Sudden Shrinkage
Well, it's unlikely any doctor will believe your penis shrank. But if you really have noticed a change, there is a slight chance that some arterial scarring (like the kind that leads to a heart attack) could be blocking blood flow to your penis. It's time to get checked out both by the urologist and your GP.

Replying to: Urine Particulate
Sounds like you may be starting to form some kidney or bladder stones. It can start with evidence that appears like sand, crystals, or sludge. Drink more water, look up the Low Oxalate Diet and start with that. And make an appointment with a urologist to look specifically for evidence of stone formation.

Replying to: Minor abrasions on penis
One of two things. You're either being abusive to your penis and need to treat it more gently, or you have a yeast infection and you and your partner both need to be treated so it clears up and your skin isn't so fragile anymore. Antibiotic ointment will do absolutely nothing for a yeast infection.

Neither. It is most likely an injury from your workouts. You need to see a urologist to find out what damage you've been doing.

Replying to: Bubbles in urine
Cranberry juice isn't going to do anything for this. And it is likely just something he is eating. He can get checked if he wants to, but without consistent symptoms, it's not likely an actual problem. There's a difference between bubbles in the toilet, and a more durable foamy layer from protein.

Replying to: questions about kidney stone
Unless you witnessed the stone passing by either seeing it in the toilet or catching it in a screen you urinate through, you should assume it has not passed, even if your symptoms have subsided. Vomiting under any circumstances is not "normal" and indicates you have something serious that needs attention. The dark color of your urine sounds ...

Replying to: I have a sore
A persistent appearance of sores could indicate a more serious problem. The first thing to do is to stop shaving. If the boils (as you call them) continue to appear, then the problem is not from shaving and should be properly addressed by a dermatologist. If they stop, then you should absolutely stop shaving and perhaps consider trimming instead (manscaping), ...
