Replying to: SA results for #2 The effects of chemo can be quite damaging to your reproductive organs and don't know if this was discussed with you prior to treatments. Reproductive age patients should always be advised of the possibility of sterility following cancer treatments. Most couple will choose to cryopreserve samples (embryos or sperm) before treatment if future children are of interest. In men about 50% will be left...

Hi, After 16 years of marriage, my ex wife was caught cheating etc.... a few months prior, I had a vasectomy. at the time I thought it was the "right" decision. After my divorce I met someone wonderful. She is younger than me and still very much wants to conceive. I would love to have this experience with her but can not afford the extensive/expensive surgery to reverse the vasectomy for a traditional conception. Is there any other...

Replying to: SA results for #2 Thank you counterso! You should know that I was treated for Hodgkins Lymphoma about 6 years ago and have had irregular cycles since then, hence the Clomid. Also, one side effect of the chemo is early menopause so I agree that I'm a little impatient, not knowing how long I'll have. I understand about the morphology and IVF. And looking at it as 29% of ...

Replying to: Sperm Morphology Lies. The clinic just wants to sign you up for IVF. How long have you been trying to conceive? What other considerations have you implemented to improve fertility chances? (diet, lifestyle, sex schedule, etc.) Morphology is really not a useful number until you're doing IVF, and it's a subjective number. All you should care about is the number of ideal ...

Replying to: Leydig Tumor on testicle It is unlikely that the tumor would be removed since the structures are so complex, rather it would be another orchidectomy. You may choose to store semen if you are still hoping to have children in the future, although it can be expensive to store from year to year. You would also want to speak to a genetic counselor to make sure this is not a ...

Replying to: self inseminate - unable ejaculate It's an option, but it sounds like your husband has some issues about you (as a couple) TTC. Perhaps he isn't comfortable with becoming a father, and his unconscious anxiety is short-circuiting his erections. He may be unable or feel too guilty to tell you in words because he wants you to have what you want. Definitely time for him to see a ...

Replying to: PLEASE HELP Make sure he doesn't stand with that hot water directly hitting his testicles. Over heating those guys will cause problems and the reason behind why his testicles are housed outside the body cavity. Warm is okay but extremely hot would be concerning. Replying to: Arimidex to correct issue Thanks so much Amy for all of the helpful information. Well, we went to the doctor and his numbers were back! We are so thrilled. You are right, the Arimidex was expensive, and now he is adding the Clomid to help boost the Testosterone...

Replying to: personal question abt my penis First, there is absolutely no over-the-counter remedy for erections. There never was. And even Viagra is not the answer, as it only works in very specific circumstances which aren't your circumstances. It is almost surely that you have trained your penis to enjoy the sensations it gets from your masturbation technique. You will need to retrain...

Replying to: What is causing this ?? No idea. There are so many things that can contribute to low count. It sounds like you've been through appropriate testing and help, but don't have a urologist who specializes in male fertility.

Replying to: male inability to have children It's good that you recognize your lack of interest in being a parent. Keep that in mind, and don't let your co-workers pressure you. Your sense of self is much more important than being like other people. If your boyfriend has already been to the urologist for testing, then presumably he's considerably older and at a different life stage ...
