Replying to: cardiovascular disease reversal? Has your exercise become progressively easier, and you do more than originally, or is it somewhat symptom limited ? How good you feel, and how much you can do easily are good indicators of quality of cardiovascular circulation. How good has your diet been ? How bad were your blockages ? All these come into play in disease progression and control. You might have slowed it tremendously, or brought...

I am just not sure what else this could be besides my heart but my cardiologist is saying it isn't from my CTA heart scan with dye, my echo and all my other tests. It is very frustrating and alarming as I am just not functioning and want to run to the ER. I do thank you very much for taking the time to write back and for your good advice. At least someone is...

Replying to: Recovering after an attack Adding a backpack to my treadmill work out is a great idea; adding leg weights in the future would be good also. I wouldn't have thought of that, thanks. I did learn, after my first attack, that listening to my body is crucial. I lay down when I'm tired, and if I find that I have energy at 9:30 at night, I go do the dishes. Luckily my family understands and doesn't question me when I...

I'm a 30 year old male and have been experiencing a slight numb/tingly feeling in my left arm/hand/fingers for about a week or so. It comes and goes and it's by no means a painful or overwhelming feeling. I notice it more if I'm supporting my head with my arm or if I'm lying down. The left arm in general also has an overall "weak" feeling. There is history in my family of both heart disease and stroke (my...

Replying to: Catherterized Ablation forffo PSVT In 2006, I was diagnosed with PSVT, though I had symptoms that started in 2000. From 2000-2005, the episodes would only occur 1-2 times a year and last for 2-10 minutes. To my understanding, its fairly common and most hearts will self correct with time. In 2006, my episodes were lasting 20-60 minutes and occurring regularly. Within one day, I had 3 episodes and 2 ER trips with a monitored...

My husband has congestive heart failure. Last week he had a heart cath and had two arteries with 90 percent blockage each, the doctor put in two stents. How long does it take for him to start feeling better. His blood pressure is good but his heart rate is always from 98 to 106 in the PM. He takes pressure meds and coreg. His heart is very weak, about a 15 squeeze.

The only negative I have is that I am overweight, but still I experienced chest pain and after a heart cath a 30% blockage was found. Female, 50s, strong family history, but I was still surprised given health BP, good cholesterol, all of that! Unsure how/why to eat heart healthy, as my numbers indicate I'm already in a good range. Was put on statin and bp meds. Anyone else experience this? I'd expect problems if I had high...
