Replying to: hurting...poss trigger being alone is not a bad thing. you need to learn to love yourself first. once you reach that point, then you will find others who will love you for who you are and be able to have a good, loving relationship. until you love yourself, you won't find a good loving relationship because you are looking for the wrong things. look within yourself. find the love for yourself and everything else will fall...

Replying to: Long life story...trig You don't sound at all bipolar. You've had a great deal of trauma, abuse and the kind of childhood that never gave you the core of self-esteem and ability to love and trust even yourself so that you don't feel worthy, probably take on much guilt and shame and had never learned to forgive, let go and put past events to rest so you can move on. Doing this is not easy. Most of us here are abuse...

Replying to: Pdocs aren't always right....... Hi Shania, I'm sorry you are struggling getting the right med combo - and good for you for putting your foot down re the lithium....it doesn't work for everyone...you said you haev been on an anti-depressant for about a month - it can take sometimes 6-8 weeks before really noticing if it's going to work...so unless it's causing severe side effects, you just have to hang in...

I was getting a big doll house, but I didn't know it.) I remember it becuase the box was SOOO big and my sister was hoping it was hers, lol. The second memory, but it could be the ...

I'm such an idiot. I took my daughter and her friend shopping today. They were clothes shopping which I hate so I spent my time in Books A Million and Petsmart. I bought Indy new toys and a new water bottle for Brians rabbit. All was well until I talked to the cat adoption lady. We were talking and I mentioned we have a farm. Innocent enough right? Wrong. She told me they recently...

The fact that you are on here is certainly positive for you and your family, I wish I could get the person I am referencing involved with this type of format so that maybe she could better understand her illness....

you have an illness that requires meds and therapy to be able to live a good life. giving your meds only two days isn't even close to giving it enough time to see if it will work. most meds have side effects in the beginning that will go away with time. it takes 4 to 6 weeks for meds to fully take effect. with mental illness in your family then you cannot ...

I'm with Deb. I'm now called BP 2 and have taken lithium for 30 years. Actually there is 1, 2, 3, 4, NOS and other degrees. You need a mood stabilier. Lithium is one of the best but you have to take it correctly. Most people take additionaly meds as needed or all the time. Get you combo right abd you'll do better. It has nothing to do ...
