That's an interesting take on their disk/bandwidth limitations.

I could not remember any recent reviews on them here. At least it seems they are not in the unlimited market.

Name.com Hosting Experience Please?

I agree Zaffer. But the registrar must prove its value as a host. This typically takes time. A review of a 6 months old hosting provider (random numbers, I've no idea how long name.com had been providing hosting), is still too new to reflect much of what's in store in the future.

Surely that concept can be applied to the "Best E-commerce host", "Best Blog host" etc.?
Is it not a bit hypocrticial coming from someone whos advertising a "Best Host" directory?

Are you having performance issues at HostGator currently? How many of those users are usually online at any time?

If you change the nameservers to use Company#2 then you will not be affected by Company#1 in the slightest.

Great review! Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us on WHT. Also, great job to MDDHosting! Best of luck to you and the company, I hope your relationship continues in a positive way.

If you're using substantial amounts of resource or receive any kind of DoS/DDoS attack you should look into a VPS or dedicated server.

Unless they install some kind of backdoor into your browser or computer via their website, no, it's not true.

Awkward, I do not agree with them saying:
Quote:
"If I ask you what did you eat in the last 2 months it will be a similar question"
I would say they need to improve on the quality of their messages and give better and elaborated answers, Do they not have an uptime service to track their uptime and downtime or logs for updates...

I would think you are landing yourself in more trouble by continuing into the Unlimited Sector , If you can get a hold of what you currently use, You could determine how much you would need to look for and seek webhosts who fit into your price bracket.
Cheap is not always better, Though, What sort of websites do you run?

As long as it's legal I believe any shared host would do fine. Your budget seems to be fairly reasonable for your stated requirements.

Sounds pretty terrible. What domain did you have hosted with them? You can also report it here if you want to keep it private.

gigaspace.co.uk is down for me, so I guess that's a good sign. Decrohost's website looks very incomplete, so maybe they removed most of the offending content. Regardless I don't understand why people do this, it achieves nothing and is wrong.

Most hosts should be able to fit this requirement easily, and there should be some good offers in the offers which are not necessarily 'cheap'.
I've heard some good things about geek storage ( http://www.geekstorage.com/gs/service/shared ) who have a $4 plan so you could give them a try.

What is the domain you have hosted with them? This sounds too much like an ad to be a review (i.e. "They can help all of you 24/7"). Could you provide a more detailed account of your experience with them?

If you payed via PayPal, you can lodge a PayPal dispute and you may be able to recover your money.

First look at company reviews here on WHT or other sites. Are you looking for windows/linux hosting? Want Sitebuilder or anything extra? If there are many companies that suit your needs start by looking over company reviews.
