Thanks to everyone who replied. As I was in a real bad spot last night, the 1st to pm me was UNIXy and Joe was a real lifesaver! He saved me many Tb's of bandwidth, He was The most patient person I have found in the server world. Joe to the time to explain to me everything he was doing, why he was doing it, and what the end result would be. He installed a firewall with cPanel interface and explained how to use it. Have you got more than 1 disk in this server, if so is the other one giving the same issues on smartd? I have never heard of Samsung disks causing those issues, but then again to be fair I would never use Samsung disks in a server. Give me 10 minutes and I will have a quick look if you like?.
