Yeah, I'm measuring CG from the LE, with the plane balancing pretty much level. Sevo is fine, I can do a full speed power dive and pull out in an instant. Yes, the rest of the plane is pretty darn heavy... remember, the foam board I'm using is covered with thick paper on both sides, and the entire plane is held together with heavy epoxy. The AUW of the plane, including battery, is 420 grams according to a set of kitchen scales of...

Well, there you go, Insomniac, time for the Depron, or maybe time to ask SmokeJohnson how his construction differs, 'cause heavy sucks! Specially if you want maneuverability... Cuts down on G-Forces.

I did gas C/L when I was a kid had a lot of fun going round in circles. Did try the rubber band planes to delicate for this teen age boy well when I was a teenager a few years ago, well many years ago. I only do electric RC planes now, glad I got into it to having way to much fun. I would like to try a glider sometime. Tried that to Thom only with a sheet results not good. John

Yeah I have probably built about 6 of them now and helped several friends with theirs. We use them for streamer combat. Anything less than 10 oz seems to be the sweet spot. http://www.wattflyer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47556 http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1061750

These flat foam planes require the power from the motor to stay flying, they dont glide for Sheet they are like a jet with short wings, loose power, and they will come down like a rock, thats why, its best to have at least 20oz of thrust from your power system, for a flat foam plane, and keep them lite, Hope that helps, Chellie

My rudder Channel is connected to the front wheel works great and so do the Elevons to bank left and right..but, when I pull up on the stick they function as if I was banking.. What am I over looking here? I have tried the y harness to channel 1, 2 and 5 and it does the same thing.. No up and down..

First post here, I'm the same IBrakeForNobody as on RCUniverse.com and a
few other forums. I mainly fly glow aircraft and electric and glow powered
RC cars and trucks, but I do fly electrics from time to time, and I'm
looking into buying an E-flite Tribute 3D.

Hi, The 2408-21 motor is a all around motor, that works well in combat planes, are you going to be using 2 or 3 cell lipos, that will determine your prop size and pitch, this is a great setup,
http://www.unitedhobbies.com/hobbyci...3.8_Prop_Co mbo
the 9x3.8 prop. should be used with a 2 cell only, 3 cell will be to much for it, a 8x4 or 7x6 GWS SF prop is better for 3 cells, i like 3 cells...

This brief discussion is intended to clear up a few terms and concepts
around electricity as it applies to electric airplanes.
Think of electricity like water. Volts = pressure Amps = flow
Volts is like pounds per square inch, psi. Says nothing about how much
water is flowing, just how hard it is being pushed. You can...

Hi,
I haven't expected that delivering the magazines could be a problem.
I sent out the first issue to all subscribers on 23 October. The European subscribers received it ten days later, the overseas subscribers haven't got them until today. It's incredible!
It seems that the normal postal service is much to slowly! It has been the reason for me to look for a ultimate change:...

You gonna have a whole herd of adapters!
And prop to motor adapters also.
There's nothing standardized except the Deans connector polarities on most batteries that use them.
