We make decisions every day based on what\'s right for ourselves. There are thousands of watch brands to choose from. If you have doubts about TAG heuer I would suggest moving on to another brand but I think if you research any brand you will eventually find something wrong with the physical product, QC, or customer service. I would never suggest owning only one brand. In fact, what I like to do is go from store to store and hold...

thats a nice watch, some poeple like the diamonds and some dont. like you said you can pick them up on the net for about half price of full retail[greymarket] so if its a good friend and if he paid retail on has all the boxes and hangtags with receipt, i would say around 900 bucks give or take a bit

I think the watch was new and the minute hand mark came from the factory. I looked over the watch pretty well when it arrived and it looked brand new, there were no scratches at all and the blue protective film was still on. It looks like the mark may be some adhesive residue that can be cleaned off. This is something a watch repair shop can easily fix, right?

Where did you buy it new with a flaw? Do you have a local AD that gives discounts for flawed items? I would think they would just send it back to tag. Did they not notice it and offer the discount during the sale, or did you find it S/D online? Anyways its a nice looking watch

I just got off the phone with Maylin (sp?) manager of Topper Jewelers and received a fantastic deal on a Tag Carrera Chrono. The reason I ask is in a response to one of my other posts, one response noted that the lume only lasts 15 minutes?
I'm concerned because I wear my watch 24/7, and when I wake up in the middle of the night, I like to see what time it is.
I have Seiko's that last all night, and they use Superluminova, so if the TH's lume don't last very long, I'm wondering what it is, and why they don't ...

I have a movado 2004 Gentry Chronograph. I had the battery replaced and the jeweller din\'t seal it tightly. Over the few months moisture builded up and then the watch stopped moving. I have had a The Tag Heuer Carrera Chronograph for 2.5 years and recently both pusher buttons and the crown have snapped off. From what I have found out online Tag does nothing for customers once there warranty is up. Also the approximate cost for repairs is $800. That is 1/3 of what I paid for it new. This seems ridiculous.
Any suggestions on how to proceed or are there other options?...

Did TAG ever make an automatic with the red & green logo? I'm a big fan of the colored logo but they only seem to be on quartz watches.

in the early 90s, the 2000s were probably their most successful model. Only by the end of that decade, the classic re-issues ( Monaco and Carrera) started to appear, but they didn\'t become a big hit until a few years ago...

Just got this lovely old thing off the bay. Been looking for a variety of 1000 series and finally grabbed this. The bracelet is a bit narrow so will see what it is like on an olive nato. Sorry the picture is pretty duff but it was taken on my mobile.
