If you go back to the roots it should be a large wrist watch with a pocket watch movement. Don´t know if Portuguese is a registered trade mark (by IWC). I do like this Portuguese

Wouldn\'t it be better to let her pick the watch out for you that way if you don\'t like it at least you could return it. If you can\'t decide, then maybe it\'s a sign to wait for your grail instead, cheers!

The latest trend in posing a watch, stupid angles that offend the eye. A watch on it\'s crown, is upside down.

I'm fairly certain I want a Seiko Ananta Spring Drive GMT . But since it would be a pretty significant chunk of change for me, I would like to see if there are other GMT watches in the same general price range (max $3.5k street price) I should consider.
Is there another watch in the same general price range that offers what this watch offers minus, of course, the spring drive? (I'd like to ...

I know I'll get some heat for not including pictures....so I'm sorry ahead of time. Anyway, on this show I've noticed several very nice watches. Almost every male chef on here (especially Appleman and Mullen) has a great watch every episode(G-Shock to Panerai and a few in between)...it seems this is common for chefs ( Guy Fieri,etc.)...again, sorry for the lack of pictures, I'm not advanced ...

Wow, bad string of incidents. Funny that you mention a screw missing because I just purchased a pre-owned C5 and it too was missing a screw. I just chalked it up to being used, and had my watchmaker install one. A member of another forum had an issue with CW too, but not to do with the actual watch.

Wanting to buy a silver, black face diver watch (excuse the non-technical terminology!). I have a lot of Seiko watches (series 5 mainly) and do not have any Invicta watches. I am trying to decide on one of these two: Invicta 8926C or the Seiko (SKX023K2).
My questions to the watch gurus out there:
1) Is the band on the Invicta 8926C good or not? I seem to see more posts about it ...

For example you own an original Seiko 6217-800x, would you actually wear it? I\'m pretty much just admire my vintage watches in their boxes, I\'m afraid I\'ll scratch them. Feel like buying a restored version so I can actually wear them, sigh..

Very nice, and very classy! Thanks for the pics. Your setup there brings up a question: is it good to store mechanical watches upright or at an angle? My watchmaker said that I should always store mine flat. Something to do about the balance shaft. I\'ll ask this over in the watchmaking forum too.
