Stuhrling is the most established of those brands, and several people here do own them. The rest are \'mushroom brands\' as far as I know. Ask over at the Chinese mechanical watch area and they will set you up with a tough watch. I say go Russian for tough mechanicals. Great watches for $35-$75.

I don't know if you need an invite to join the site but I would be happy to invite you if it is required. PM me if you are interested. The site is www.ruelala.com . If this is not allowed, please let me know.

Can anyone help identify this watch? The serial number 001006699. The lugs on it are very different. Anyone know of a swiss army database?

I have an Ironman 30 lap that goes with my to the gym, has never let me down. It gets abused more than any of my watches...I find myself being protective of my G Shock since it was more expensive, even if it can take more punishment.

I have seen some realy nice Getat watches in the past couple of days in a variety of styles and colors. The one I am curious about is a 47mm 1950 homage that I had seen in a blue pvd case. I had seen this paticular watch at PMWF but now I am unable to find any pictures of it. If anyone happens to know anything or have one like this themselves could you post some pics or let me know where to find ...

Hi, I\'m new here. I have watch issues. I don\'t do digital and analog quartz watches always stop when I wear them-' + '- sometimes its within minutes, and sometimes they run for several months, until the battery needs changing and then they work wonderfully as long as I am not wearing them. Other family members are the same way. The one watch I didn\'t have this issue with was an old, cheap ...

I do not fault Tissot for the clasp issues. It was solidy constructed. I used it as an everyday watch and definitely put undue stress on the clasp. e.g. 10 heavy shopping bags on my wrist pulling against the watch. As most of you guys will agree, heavy we can deal with, another trip to the car NO WAY!

I was searching some sites for retrograde watches because I haven't owned one yet. I came across these Festinas that seem like bargains for this type of design. Does anyone here have any experience with these? I bought a Festina chronograph a few years ago and liked it quite well.
This one is ~$250
This one is ~$150 and is available in several colors. It looks very similar to this $10k...

Here's the deal...
I just bought an Oris TT1. It's an awesome watch and I love it, but it doesn't work for just everything. Because of some small errors on their side, the company which I ordered the Oris from refunded me 30% of the purchase price as well as letting me keep the watch.
Anyhow, I have $210 to spend, more if I deem it to be worth it. The ideal solution for me would be to...
