If your numbers are correct, that means you put on 45 lbs of lean mass (135 to 180) in your 2 year period and kept precisely 45lbs of bodyfat from beginning to end. That's actually not bad, dude. Is this based on actual measurements or just guesstimates? Your goal would mean you'd have to keep precisely the same amount of LBM you have now. How far below maintenance is 2500kCal?

Is good nutrition enough?

supplements are not required by no means, they are to supplement your diet. good protein, creatine, would the the mininum. there are lost of supplements that are just unnecessary and a waist of money., but there are very good supplements that can and will help you recover better. i must say there is nothing that can place good whole foods. eat good quality protein, good essential fats, good complex carbs with fruits and vegs and your body...

As VikingWarlord said if you gain too quickly, eat less. Conversely, if you dont gain, eat more. that sounds like very low calories for a 220lb person, but only you truly know your calorie needs. How did you decide on that level?

Most bulk phases are followed by a cut phase. Or better called a " trimming down loosing fat" phase for the rest of us.
You can reduce your carbs and increase your cardio to loose fat pounds/weight, you should find your 6pkabs again soon!
Whatever muscle you gained in your bulk phase will remain.
Just clean up the diet and increase cardo, should go a long way. Im coming off a ...

Just eat and lift. If you gain too quickly, eat less. It's not that difficult.
Don't think, just do.

Keep things simple.
1) Get on a strength training program that will hit all the major muscle groups of the body.
2) Eat more food with a focus on reasonably healthy food such as meats, milk, eggs, peanut butter, nuts, complex carbs, etc...
3) Monitor your weight gain. If you aren't gaining, eat more. If you still aren't gaining, eat more. Repeat this process until you are gaining weight....

It's been my experience and that of others that part of "falling off the wagon" is because you're trying to do something that isn't sustainable for a long time. Extended periods of cut dieting put on an enormous mental strain.
You're going to deny it, of course, but the stress that you were feeling as a result of everything else in life wouldn't have affected your dietary habits if they ...

I think that in your case you can just eat more! You are pretty trim and
want to get bigger,so more quality food is prob all you need. Supps are
just that, something you use to get cal/protein that you aren't getting from
food. Milk, meat, veggies and whole grain bread should be enough to get
bigger. You say you track your calories, just add 300-500 calories a day
through good food, lift heavy and ...

ok, I will add whatever input I am confident with, and others will answer what I dont.
first of all, you want to lose fat and gain muscle and you have a desire for a 6 pack. realize that to gain muscle and lose fat requires a very long process of a slow cut. you would have to first of all find your maintenance calorie level, then eat 300-500 calories less than that. Lift heavy. combine ...

I have zero experience with women trainees, but 1000 cals seems too low
tbh. I'd say add some more cals from fat

I love builts answer; "Our bodies can't do math."
1) Support your requirements
2) Fill in the rest with whatever best controls your hunger
So once you've got your protein and fat REQUIREMENTS settled. The rest of your cals can come from anywhere.
