A Rally that needs more Earnings
Published (2009-11-28 17:53:00)
November 29, 2009 Fundamentally A Rally That Needs More ‘E’ By PAUL J. LIM IN the first leg of a bull market, when optimism and euphoria are ascendant, investors are willing to bet that the economy will improve and that corporate profit growth is just around the corner. This faith manifests itself not just in rising share prices, but also in rising price-to-earnings ratios. True to form, the P/E ratio for companies in the Standard...

Courtesy of Jack Crooks', Black Swan Currency Currents report. I do not agree with his view that often but he is great when I do and a great foil and test for my view when I don't! Dubai has a long history of imprisoning debtors. See The Real Debt Prison in United Arab Emirates UAE . NO PRIVILEGES FOR CRAZY RICH FOLKS (and that includes kings, sultans, presidents.) So I don't have alot of sympathy... Sorry. Dubai is the most ecologically unsustainable city on earth. It's an abomination that will become a barren ghost-town of windowless skyscrapers within a decade. إن شاء الله

For you bears who drive other vehicles, there's an electronic sensor on your steering column you should be concerned about. It's used for speed sensitive steering. The failure of this sensor, or bad data affects the feedback force applied to your steering wheel. The output of the Power Steering Control Module (PSCM) makes pump pressure adjustments that change the level of power ...

P.S. I don't know about you folks but I've noticed considerable inflation--if not actual higher prices, cuts in quantity for the same item-- already because of the fall in the dollar--brought about by Bernanke's monetizing everything. It's contributing to unemployment as what US manufacturers that remain are experiencing cost increases and pressures to match higher import prices. ...

Is there anything you can alloy homogeneously with tungsten to get the density correct and uniform? Obviously, if you don't have to worry about uniformity and just need correct average density, you have lots of choices for plugs to put inside the tungsten.

Easiest way as I see it is to restore convertibility at a rate that would acknowledge the "scroomage" say, USD$4000 per ounce of gold and USD$80 per ounce silver. Then adjust it as the market ebbs and flows.

Not me, but I will start posting my sales when they start. By habit, they will be in small, frequent chunks. I am guessing they will commence within a few years, but it could take longer. Indicators that I watch include (1) DOW:Gold ratio (near two maybe?), (2) retail participation in gold market, (3) rational central bankers take control, (4) inflation is officially raging, and (5) ...
