If the passport was issued within the last 6 years, you can use the simplified renewal process...if not, I think you have to re-apply using the old method.

It's almost as bad as when people introduce themselves with a title in a purely social setting. Like, you're at a Christmas party and someone introduces themselves as 'Dr. Jane Doe'. Umm.. you're not my doctor and we're not a clinic, so can it.

Quote: Quote: Quote: By the way i don't hate Canada and I am not changing the post title. But it did make you look didn't it? Can I ask why you won't change it despite people stating that it offends them and is not truly appropriate for the subject matter? Like a PP, I sensed the initial frustration and understand that you wanted to make a point, but now that you've made it and people have indicated that it upsets them,...

I don't always remember my sister's work number - her extension has changed a few times - so to me, it is handy to have it right there for easy reference. I don't know - I just don't see it as disrespectful at all! Doesn't even compute to me, but to each their own as always. Besides, mine only shows up on the first email I send and not replies, so it's not like it's over and over again...

Quote: Quote: Though I do admit that I laugh at some emails I get with BA after their names...they have nothing to do with your job, and aren't really something to be proud of (hee hee) Nice! Yeah. I was the first person ever on either side of my family to graduate with a university degree. Ever. So, yeah, my lowly BA (High Honours - does that make it better?) was indeed something to be proud of.

Ya. I'd be pi$$ed. Work x-mas party is the one time of year to show off your man to the co-workers. Also, I know my SIL's work 'frowns' upon spouses missing it especially when they give plently of notice and it's only once a year, kinda like it show's your commitment to the company or something.

What's your location in TO? I go to Elmwood Spa on Elm Street & Yonge. Right downtown. I loveeee it there! It's a little pricey, but they have really good last minute deals!

Nope. Goodness, he was over 40 when we met, if he didn't know how to buy his own underwear by that point, I wouldn't have married him.

Um, I'm thinking that no matter what results you get the connection is quite spurious. As in they may casually be observed but there's no actual link to one causing the other. My BIL switched from Coke to Diet - that was his only lifestyle change - and lost 30 lbs in three months. And yeah, there are 30g of carbs in a can of Coke and none in Diet Coke. Seems like pretty simple ...

No, but 1. I like my faith and I'd have to like the other persons just as much ( ie believe in it) and 2. I really thought that whole part in my Big Fat Greek Wedding was sweet. Best part of the movie IMO.

Quote: That's a great idea! I'll join! I've found the easiest way is to set up a blog - that way you can have a little blurb about the photo and it goes in chronological order. If you set one up let us know the URL and I'll add it to the list!

We weren't planning to. We wanted to wait until after the wedding, but then some things happened and it made sense to move in together. That was only 2 months before the wedding though.

I haven't but Canadian Tire recently changed their return policy (at least here they did) that you can't return ANYTHING without a receipt. Before it used to be - if you didn't have a receipt you got this credit piece of paper that had to be used the same day. I have never had a problem returning things to Walmart and haven't tried recently ('cept for their brand of catfood and that was...

I guess it depends what is considered to be an "older man"...:) But i love Mr. Big from the Sex & the City... I don't consider him "older", but the age difference might point to that. *laughs*

Tell them to not call you, to take you off there list. There is a law in Canada which you can charge them under. I have cut down the number of calls to my number that way easily.

He just does it occasionally because I found it hilarious when Jason Segel did it in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, when it makes that slapping noise. He doesn't do it often though.
