Totally go! The younger they are the easier they are to travel with!!! I also HATE how those yahoo answers get top priority in a google search. Reminds me how many ignorant and stupid people there are out there, which is something I'd rather forget! That jerk would think I was a terrible parent I guess with all the travelling we've done with DD!

Quote: As an aside, cereals are fortified with iron and a baby's stores of iron run out at six months. If your baby is EBF then they aren't getting the iron they need. That's why they recommend that breastfed babies get at least 4 tbsps a day after six months. It's the only way to get them the iron they need until they build up their food repertoire. So there is nutritional value in cereals. It's not the only way to...

What about coming up with a routine/program. Babies/kids seem to thrive on it. I'm not going to push sleepeasy on you because you probably already know it was a success story for me (if you've seen that thread). But, I can say that the routine of having certain feeds through the night have eliminated many of the wakes that we had. We had so many wakes it was absolutely impossible for it to have been hunger (she couldn't...

altair!! GOOD LUCK!! It's likely going to be really hard at first, but we're here for u. My girl did AWESOME last nite! I totally expected a crap night due to her fever/vaccinations. Her fever was gone by her 3 am feed. We had a bit of an extinction burst at 8pm of 25 minutes of crying, some of it freaking out crying because I had rocked her the night before when she had a fever and we coslept in the morning. BUT, after the 25 mins...

I used to warm up the water in the microwave for a few seconds so I'd measure it into a pyrex measuring cup, nuke it and then pour it into the bottles/liners and shake. I used to do the warm up under running water or even hot water in a cup but it'd take forever - as opposed to 15sec to nuke it.

I have one made by ConAir and I like it. It was $20 at walmart and had 10 or so different sounds ( we only use "rainfall"). Ithas a nice wide volume dial and an optional 60 minute auto shut off. Good luck!

There's a light! Promise. You are a good mom and you are doing everything you can. I can relate to the colic, reflux, sleep deprivation and sadness. Sleep will get better, some babies just take longer to get with the program and try not to compare your baby to others - that always drove me bonkers with sleep issues! The reflux sucks, but will go away just like the colic - keep ...

Almost forgot to start this month's post! If any newbies would like to join in, just let me know and I'll add your name to the list! What's new with everyone? The mean old red witch AF showed up for me yesterday, on Angie's five-month birthday. I don't get it.. she's still feeding every 2 hours during the day, and isn't sleeping through the night yet. GRRRRRRR!!! Other than ...

I was 60% effaced and 1cm dialated for 2 weeks before I went into labor. I think it just depends on your body though, I ended up having a very long labor with such slow progression I needed pitocin (or whatever that drug is called) after 22 hours of active labor. Good luck to you, either way it won't be long now!

I never do. My ped told me that once they are able to roll over themselves, it is safe for them to sleep on their tummies, or however they want to. A baby that has the strength to roll over has the strength to lift his/ her head up if it's smushed into the mattress or whatever. I wouldn't worry about it!

Thanks for starting this again for us, Stacey! I thought about it but thought I'd just let you do it instead, lol How was everyone's Halloweens?!?!?! Ours was pretty good, M didn't seem to understand what the heck we were doing. She was pretty stone faced as we were trick or treating, but she looked very cute in her chicken costume. I'll post pics once I upload them. I'm hating this ...

A better diaper bag. Mine was @#$*(#$@!!! Better breast pump for sure. I'm not cheaping out next time when it comes to my boobies. Another baby carrier, probably the Sling Sisters. I was so intimidated by my Cuddly Wrap I didn't use it for a long time. By the time I grew to love it, M was almost too heavy for it.

I was generally really good at budgeting for this LO and was able to buy everything we needed for under $1500. I probably would have gone with a simpler crib if I could go back, but it would have been recalled anyways... so, in that case, nope!

I would have liked to on quite a few nights, but it never worked for us. If DS comes to bed, it's in the morning and it's to play.
