You can't get EI when you are getting paid as you would be on vacation time. It's like still being at work as far as they are concerned. Everyone goes for 2 weeks with no income from either their employer or EI when they go on EI.

Quote: My Dd is almost 2 months and I can't imagine having to take her out of her bucket seat to put her in a stroller and then have to put her back into the bucket seat to go home. It's hard enough to get her in there and she screams most of the time until we start moving. And if she was sleeping, there is no way I'd want to disturb her. So, basically, I'm saying get the bucket seats and the snap and go (?) to carry them....

I've resorted to having a glass of milk after my meals, seems to cool things down a bit. If not, I rely on tums. Sorry... I know how much it sucks.

I feel the same way about cloth diapering as Nifer. It's just not for us. Maritimers - thanks for asking about aquafit. It's going well so far. We laugh a lot! I'm definitely still up for a GTG. Lamp - I hope your headache is gone now! BOTB - for DTD! AFM - I had a message from my midwife that our IPS results are all normal.

I have a "fake baby" which is a teddybear wearing a newborn diaper/sleeper... it's a joke with DH and I. Maybe I'll put him in the carseat and drive over to your place to try it out! Or maybe they have one I can "try" at Chiquita Baby!

I don't know about getting blood without the paperwork from your Dr. but your story makes me wonder how you feel about your Dr? Sorry to open another can of worms, but do you feel that telling you to just go to the ER is best care you deserve? IMO I'd be going to the ER AND looking for a new Dr. FX everything is okay.

I do Tums and they seem to help. I know ginger helps with nausea, could it help with heartburn too?

Graco has the Snugride32, which allows you to use it up to 32lbs or 32 inches (according to them 90+% of one year olds will still fit in it). We chose that seat just so we dont have to make the upgrade while Im still on mat leave. They go on sale a lot (I got mine for $150) and its a great option if you want the convenience of a bucket seat but dont want to make the change to a convertible so early.

Even if it's not a natural toothpaste, what kind do you use? The kind I am using right now is sensodyne cause DH uses it, and it's there. I wash out my mouth well after I use it, but it still tastes like it's there. Kind of bitter and makes me wanna gag. (sorry the OP didn't have toomuch info... I was at work and typed that in my phone)

Maybe soda crackers? For me the nausea goes away after eating anything... Maybe some Perrier even to settle your tummy . I think you just do whatever works.

Mine was totally fine! My arm was sore (REALLY sore for about 3 days) and I had a runny nose and cough for a few days afterwards. Otherwise I was fine. My daughter had the cough and a runny nose, she also had fevers for 2 days. It wasnt too bad. Like you, I was really nervous to get my shot, but I must say, now Im glad I did. A ton of people in our extended family have contracted H1N1 ...

Here and there I've been known to indulge. I had some champagne at my best friend's wedding and plan to treat myself to a glass or two during the Holidays.

Hi ladies...hope that nobody minds my attempt to start the thread . Needed something to keep me occupied while I am up at 3am!! I've been reading all of your updates, but haven't been posting due to tiredness/general laziness TO LADIES - GTG on Nov 12 at Yorkdale. Looks like we're going to either Pickle Barrel or Moxies. I am neutral. What time should we meet? I can be there ...

I agree, can't believe it's November....and I can't believe the amount of Halloween candy we have here. Didn't get many trick o treaters so we have tons left over. I'm beginning to think I may actually have to throw some in the garbage, so that I won't eat it all. So, as I mentioned, I had a fall down approx the last 4 stairs last night, landed mostly on my bum and elbow. So I wasn't ...

It's really a personal decision. I am deciding to take very little time off before the baby is born. Like maybe 4 days, if she comes on her due date. I think that I would be bored at home and frustrated if I went overdue. Plus I have the convenience of working from home. The bonus to going off early is that you are rested and relaxed, that is great for your labour, etc. I don't think...
