Violence is everywhere. The U.S gets the blame for a lot but really it is not any different than any other country. A lot of people here don't trust or rely on the police and usually take matters into their own hands. The capability to defend themselves is easily acquired. I don't have any statistics or pretend to know why; those are just my opinions.
