One was the oil screen cover on the bottom of the engine. Tightening the bolts fixed that. The other was a leak from the rear valve rocker box cover, left side. I power washed the oil off the engine so I could see better where it was coming from. It hasn't leaked since. Works for me. _________________ You never see a motorcycle parked in front of a psychiatrists office except for Taser '03 Volusia w/90 drive

good to hear you got out of that mess without being physically hurt....much. I do believe anytime you are passing any vehicle, the responsibility is on the passer.

You are correct, Mort. Any time a pass on a 2 lane road is initiated, the responsibility lies with the party performing the pass, not with the party being passed. _________________ 2005 Boulevard C50 -DJ Drive Club Member - Pittsburgh Chapter President Everything I say is fully substantiated by my own opinion. I don't think he did it on purpose, I don't know why he didn't just run the volume down, I have vista, he has xp, maybe he was not familiar. But the last time he was here, my mouse would not work the next day..................he had taped a small picture of himself to the bottom side of my mouse, blocking the signal.

No lights, no signal, pass likely legal, especially when encouraged by someone apparently pulling over. Tractor driver failed to maintain adequate lookout. I could argue either side. But argument is expensive. An insurance company is likely to argue a six figure problem. Here, I'd expect compensation for the bike and a silent prayer of thanks that the driver isn't crippled. On the bike. Regardless of the enhancements and so on....

The tractor driver is guilty of failure to signal and improper lane usage, IMHO. And people need to turn their heads and check the blind spot, too. But, they probably won't. Like the article said, "The fact of the matter is, who is at fault is really irreverent--what we should take from this incident is the best way to avoid this type of crash." Of course when it comes to liability, who's at fault is relevant....

Typically 'Car' oils have friction modifiers in them what will RUIN the wet plate clutch in your bike. This is true with mostly lighter viscosity oils. There are higher viscosity 'Heavy Duty' or 'Racing' oils which we do use in our bikes. I use the mobil1 15w50 synthetic in mine, and have had no problem. If you choose a 'car' oil, make sure that it does not say 'energy ...
