I sigend up for the service on 9/27/08. I opted to have my current number ported over to your company from a different carrier. I was informed that the carrier had acknowledged receipt of my transfer request on 10/2/08. I contacted the carrier to find out when I could expect them to continue with the
porting out of my number to Voip. This is the response that I received from them today via email...

I cannot receive any inbound calls. Outbound calling is OK. When trying to dial my VOIP number from another
land line or a cell phone you get the message "Your call cannot be completed as dialed". I was asked by Becca to post this problem in this forum. I also have a post in the incoming & Outgoing Call Issues forum. FYI, I have not talked to another company about porting my number away.

Line number issue. New Mexico activated area code split today. I talked with a VOIP support super who says mine is the first call on this. I imagine it won't be your last. I have no incoming calls with the exception of a VOIP internal

I need to know what is taking so long with the number porting process. I have sent in my current bill twice and still had
no progress. I am currently paying the phone bills to both companies. I have called [advertisement] and asked if they have recieved the request and they have said they did not. I have asked Voip.com many times to resend the request and did not make any progress with that yet....
