Network Problems Yo25?
Published (2009-12-20 11:05:00)
Hi greenfleck, There's a few basic checks to try first that should resolve this issue easily Firstly, go into Manage Connections, and disable Mobile Network. Wait a few seconds, then re-enable again. After a short wait, you should get your signal back. If you're still only getting SOS, try pulling the battery from the phone to restart it, and try again. Still no signal? Confirm your full postcode and we will check the local sites in...

Vodafone Have Lost My Talk Plan?!
Published (2009-12-24 04:13:00)
Hi Smartass Non hardware deals/ Sim Only deals are great value for money and so I can see why you would go for them. The deal you were offered for 600mins and Unlimited texts with Internet for £15 is a great deal, Im surprised that this could not be sorted out by the advisor you spoke to on 191? You could go back to the price plan you came from, I dont believe we have removed price plans from our billing systems for quite some time now but I...

Hi Goodman, A warm and festive welcome to the eForum. I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news but unfortunately we are unable to transfer a number from another network with a PAC once a new account has been set up I am sorry to say, the PAC has to be given at the point of sale. Please take a look at out Porting Help centre as I am sure this clarifies any porting queries you may have. Once again, sorry to be the bearer of bad news at such a...

Hi Mathewluck, Welcome to the eForum from all of the team. i must admit that this is strange however the eForum team are here to help to get to the bottom of it for you. Does this happen every day then it work once you have taken the battery out etc? Is this just in the same location? If so what is the postcode for that area? How old is your SIM? If it is older than 18 months then it may be worth backing up your contacts and popping into one...

QUOTE (greenfleck @ Dec 20 2009, 10:54 PM) Jon I tried that a few times and I also took out my sim card a couple of times too - but to no avail! This morning I reinserted the sim card and it seemed to work fine, so I found it quite odd that it did not work last night! However, I'm glad to say that my phone seems to be working perfectly again now! Thanks for your help! Hello Greenfleck,...

Hi Saloonrod, This is a good question, all of your minutes and text messages cover standard UK numbers whilst in the UK however, Jersey is classed as a non standard UK number and as such is a chargable call. All these calls are charged at 35p per minute. James eForum Team

However, when i try to upgrade online, it just takes me back to the part where i have to enter my details to see if i'm allowed to upgrade. I've been going round and round in circles ...

It is not possible to block withheld numbers. This previous thread will help. http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=20 788 If the calls are reported to the police, and you get a crime reference number, you are able to get a new number free of charge.

hiya kate.£17.02 plus the vat at 17.5% is £20 exactly. Run of the mill tariff amount but fairly crummy minutes. What else do you get for your twenty quid? I would ask to have the original contract dropped down to a sim only type plan for a tenner and only then agree to a new contract (and number) for the iPhone. Bargain and barter is my motto. Best of luck.

Hi M4T VW I think there may have been som confusion into what it is that you need? A PUK code is for when you have put a SIM PIN code in too many times incorrectly. A PAC code is when you want to take your Vodafone number to another network and this usually takes 72 working hours to generate so Im sorry you were told it would take 5 days, this is not correct at all! If he has left the ...

Was it a new SIM card that was sent as well? If it was, I dont think vodafone always send connected SIM cards through the post in case they go missing. When i recieved a new sim card, i had to contact vodafone to get them to connect it. Not sure if there is a way to do it online but you can call customer services and they should connect it straight away.

QUOTE (AnnS @ Dec 22 2009, 07:26 AM) You need to keep the number active by making a regular chargeable call. If the number is not used for a period of 170 days, the number gets suspended and if it is not used in another period of 90 days, the number is disconnected and gets 'quarantined' before being reissued. You could try topping up using a top up voucher and making a call, ...
