QUOTE (lawman @ Dec 20 2009, 10:20 PM) what does the sd card update actually do? as my hd2 can already read my 8gb micro sd card. also, as somebody said installing apps voids the warranty, pls confirm this is not true. Hi Lawman. The SDcard update gives better compression to your photos without losing quality meaning you can get more pics on your card. I would say no to installing apps voiding your warranty. QUOTE (Starfury @ Dec 19 2009, 05:46 PM) Try this: scroll across to settings then hit menu and goto all settings. on the new screen select connections and then connection setup. In there click menu and make sure "Enable Auto Configuration" is ticked. You can optionally select update database and do a manual update (not sure if this uses net connection though). UK and Vodafone will likely already be in the...

Just had a quick play around- try the following; Scroll to Settings, Click Wireless Controls, Click Menu- then Connections, In the Tasks tab, click Manage My Existing Connection, On the Modem tab, does it show Contract Internet? Also have a look on the Proxy Settings tab- is the box checked that states 'This network connects to the Internet'? Just a stab in the dark- I have little knowledge on this but it sounds like it might help?

QUOTE (Starfury @ Dec 19 2009, 03:32 PM) In addition can I just clarify if this main HTC forum is support only or support and discussion? If its the latter then a specific "HD2 Support" support-only forum might help people coordinate and concentrate on helping a bit more than whats going on in the main forum right now. Totally agree oops - just went into discussion mode.........

Dumping My Hd2 For Iphone

actually, since seeing what an iPhone contract entails, I was looking for reasons to stay and fixes that are allowed. I can see a firmware update on htc site, but no vodafone one.

Hotfixes wont invalidate your warranty so what you have posted above are fine,it is the Rom's that would do that untill voda realease it as an official firmware update as for apps they are fine also. -------------------- I think therefore am I?

Hi cjako, You can upgrade up to 70 days before your contract expires and it sounds like this is simply what's happened here. When you upgrade before your contract expires, the new commitment/upgrade starts when your existing one expires. SO in your case, you upgraded on the 7th December. However your new 24 month contract period begins on the 16th January 2010 once your current one has ...
