Dec 24th Christmas Eve Boat...

We had a great dinner at La Palapa. Bobby, Leslie and the Twins livened up the atmosphere with a Christmas Eve show. The restaurant was full. The boats came in close and made a loop. Eight boats lighted up and in a semi circle. It was a very colorful sight. Merry Christmas San Carlos and thank you Raphael and La Palapa for providing a wonderful venue for us to enjoy the show.

The new Pemex being the seaside Pemex on the south side. Sagitario has sparkly paint. I was in Lourdes day before yesterday and had not been there in some time. They have expanded and have some beautiful things. Not as much jewelry as Sagitario but worth looking in both.

Good to know. I was overcharged there too, for ice and a bottled water, but didn't realize it until I got home....decided the gas it would have cost to return wasn't worth it....but have never gone back.

I also heard them. I counted 5 shots fired either in the Bahia or from Marina San Carlos. Sounded like a large caliber weapon. MexicoMel:thumb:

I am also very curious if anyone has past experience with New Years Day being on Friday. Do they all try to get home the first weekend, or wait for the weekend of the 8th?

Go to the pearl farm in Guaymas. It's the only place in the world that grows that kind of pearl. I made custom jewelry for 27 years and was very impressed. I went there thinking "awe it's just pearls" and left thinking different.
