I googled and have bookmarked this IZArc that you recommended. If I run into another problem with a zip file I will try it. As I've said, I've never had a problem with a zip file until BitDefender started sending me these zip files that contained tools they wanted me to run. When I tried to extract them Windows told me they had been blocked because of files that may be harmful to my computer. I replied to BitDefender each time and...

For detailed info I would search on words; howto vista linux usually the howtos have names like vista+linux or whatever, but I've been away from linux for a bit. They may not have kept up with the howtos. If all you can find is old info like XP and earlier, try the sites for...

I read in one forum that the audio enhancements (all) need to be disabled to make this go away. Also heard that some HP drivers cause this problem as...

Check with Process Explorer ( Process Explorer ) whether some process is eating your CPU. Click on where it says CPU above - that brings all the CPU users to the top. If you identify a process, hover over the process for more detail or right click on it and go to Properties for even more details. Maybe you can catch the culprit. Some processes you can also kill in PE (rigth click) - but not ...
