You could do it that way, but pull the converter before you start (you don't want to have it fall off) _________________ It's gonna be cool when it's done 65 hard top

The TC has two drain plugs 180* from each other, so draining should be easy. The leak(s) looks like there coming from a nut where the linkage attaches to the trans. Is there a seal there where the shaft exits the trans that might be leaking? It also looks like the pan might be leaking as well. _________________ 1964 Black T-Bird with White Landua Top

It was one of those things where I don't remember the cost because I was so delighted with the results. I think what Bob posted, about $200 per seat sounds about right. Randy Mattson

Sorry I read your first email to mean the engine was already back in the bay. As stated you can pull the tranny out through the empty bay. I recall that with the springs unloaded up front the car did not have to be jacked up to much higher to pull the tranny out on the ground (actually on heavy cardboard) but do your own measurements. When you pull the driveshaft it will leak some fluid if there is still some in the tranny. When you pull the...

maybe I didnot state it correctly but the spring that connect to the motor has to be wound to a certain tensionfor the motor to be able to make the window go up all the way. I am trying to learn how to wind the spring correctly . Thanks Jerry

Pete - A shop who does very fine work is Riggs Bros. in our area. I know they would do the refitting of the cover (you might have to supply them the cover from Larry's, Original Interiors, etc.): http://riggsbros.com/ Riggs Bros. Pete I have done a few of the cruise-o's, they are very simple. You don't need any special tools, just a couple of C-clamps and an awl or ice pick to get the old o-rings out. The shop manual has all the info for specs, you just have to read carefully to find them. I bought my last kit online for about $115. If it shifted good before, you should be able to give it a successful rebuild. Having said...

I think all the venders have seat foam sets, But you have to buy the complete set for one bucket. Then pay someone to install. I've seen them installed by T-Bird owners some looked good some not so good. Last one i did i just took the seat not the back to the local upholstery shop and let him do the bottom only. Came out great for about half the price

I've done a couple, its just time consuming. The parts are available from the vendors. If I remember right the vent frame has to come out of the door to get at the gear. Good luck, Bob C

It is not that unusual for cars made in the 60's to be out from side to side. Tolerances were much more liberal then, That said, an inch is on the higher side. Check carefully for collision damage both on the under body and the suspension components. Unibody damage almost always shows up as warped panels or damaged welds. If in doubt, measure diagonally using two widely spaced points. A frame ...

There is one that I know of...Custom Autosound. However, I would advise against it. I had one in my '65 and got so disgusted, I took it out and threw it in the trash. I wouldn't even give it away. Instead, I had the original am radio redone. It sounds much better than original, has am/fm stereo and a jack to plug in an mp3, cd player or whatever. He also restored the face of the radio to...

Not adjustable, just proper installation and lube. Do a search on this site if you are replacing a window motor or have the regulator apart.
