You can obtain a unique sword in the tournament not far into the game. This sword can be upgraded to (arguably) the best sword in the game. But you have only one chance to get the sword, after which it is lost forever. There's also a missable event to make the final boss fight much more difficult than normal. ^ I read on RPGClassics that the Musical Software obviously can't be made in the menu screen, nor can it be Reproduced. Kinda sucks since it means you'll have to get that AND the Battle Suit on the Calnus to ensure completion.

Oh crap sorry, I forgot about that sword. The 'unique sword' requires that you get second in the tournament or arms, which I've always taken for granted since it is not very difficult. Mischief that I mentioned is stolen in the same missable Private Action that is the first step toward making the final boss much harder/unlocking alternate form (removing his/her/its (no spoiler >_>) 'limiter'). Sword Bomber is good, but Claude's best KMs outclass them in pretty much every situation (RIpper Blast, Dragon Howl). TC, I recommend dropping Mirror Slice, it's a terrible move in most situations.

Nothing major except Mischief which must be stolen from Filia. Getting this item requires a bit of preparation and you can find the details all over the place. It's basically of the family of items that drop random items after walking so many steps. A few of the items can be moderately useful for item creation early on, but nothing game breaking or unique. I wish I hadn't. Cheap animation. Too many "Claude!" "Rena!" being bantered around. Oh, and didn't get to Nede, so no Chisato. :(

IIRC, you have to cast the spell a good 200-300 times before getting an 'alternate' voice clip. Some of the alternate spell voice clips are said to be glitched and you cannot unlock them (like heal). All you can really do is keep casting deep mist until you hear it again, though. Although if you just want to 'hear' it, go to the square where the voice clip is and do the voice clip trick. Both Seltzer and Bunny shoes can't either but they are way too many items to list on this topic that can't be so you'd really need a faq for that. However the Marvel Sword and Scyther to make the Crimson Diablos (Dias) and Ashtons best weapons CAN be replicated hence you can make like 20 copies of Ashtons best weapon then sell 19 of them for 1.8 million Fol EACH.

For the first time, I recommend Claude as the main character because I think his story shows a better overall perspective of the plot than Rena's story. There are twelve recruitable characters total, but you can have only up to eight in your party. Unless you want to hear a different set of voice actors, really love the game, and hated Welch, then I'd say no, not really. Or unless you're a hardcore SO fanatic and just want to have both versions.

At least 1 faq does mention this too bad that weapon for Opera kind of sucks since you find a way better weapon inside the Hoffman Ruins.
