That's not uncommon, you just have to live with it and fix whatever destruction caused. Either that, or save/load and pray. anyway, hurricanes usually don't cause that much damage, it's the
earth quakes you have to worry about. If you lucky, no damage is done. If you're unlucky, it's best to reload your game unless if you're cheating. Save often.

I used every single cheat I can find. I can't be bothered to unlocked everything. Moneybags cheat is needed to prevent staring at the DS for tens of hours waiting from money to come in before you start building a
super city.
