There is more than 1 "rocket" start. The one the tips loading screen means is the most basic. Keep the needle just below the redline and then accelerate on go. If you compare this to just holding accelerate all the way, or even not pressing accelerate at all until you start, you should definitely notice a difference. Then theres the plug ins. Dont think there are any ridge racers around here lol I'd suggest taking your question to the US Ridge Racer forum where there is still a (very friendly) rr7 community who i'm sure would have the answer your looking for :)

The Namco one is actually a duel as they only have 1 car. the dragon saber though comes up after certain amount battles outside the gp i think. I remember it was the last body kit company to come up with a challengea nd thus harder to get 100 pts.
