I'm ready to start port forwarding in a couple weeks (busy till then) but first I have to assign my PS3 to a static IP address - portforward.com doesn't show you how to do that. Only specifies it for various PC OSs and 360.

Do they even charge still? The reason I'm asking is because I had a similar problem a while back in which none of my controllers work unless I had them plugged in. They also refused to charge. I traded my new DS2 about 3 times before it hit me that it may be my USB cable. Turns out that was the issue.

The US isn't the only place in the world believe it or not, and yes PS3 is gaining momentum here in the US but I doubt it will ever surpass the 360 in units sold strictly in the US. A year head start is a lot to make up.
