I'm as big a Goldberg fan as anyone, but man I had trouble enjoying it on even a B-movie level.

3/10 The way it was beginning, I thought it was going to be a drama kind of like The Wrestler (obviously my expectations weren't that high). We see a comedian enjoying his fame being happy, getting the bad news from the doctor, then putting on a facade, pretending to be happy to the public. It stopped right there. The movie then turned into dick jokes for 2 hours. The drama became watered down with barely any development (and nothing...

Ah, right -forgot about that. At any rate, Episode III was indeed shot in a resolution comparable to 1080P, so there should be no noticible downgrade to Blu. Episode II looked fantastic when remastered to IMAX, so both should look just fine when the HD releases come out. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDW-F900

I never understood "Essential" films. If I like a movie done by a certain director I make sure to watch his/her entire filmography.

That reminds me of the time I was trying to rent Raoul Walsh's Pursued from Blockbuster. It certainly was Walsh's film I had in my queue, but they kept sending me the Christian Slater movie from a few years back. After the 5th try, I got so mad that I snapped the disc in two and sent it back, telling them they had once again sent the wrong movie. And after the sixth try (that's right, I sent the Slater film back one more...

Well, to be fair, if they'd extended the ending, someone would be on here complaining that the movie was emulating Return of the King or something... Either way, the movie couldn't win... Also, am I the only one that thinks Keanu was cast perfectly? I mean, he can't emote, so why not cast him as an emotionless alien, right? :) *Puts up flame shield to avoid comments from Keanu fans that can't ...

Seriously? Those are your top five? Well, I guess if you like them then good for you. But they'd all rate pretty low to me.

Way to keep it alive. I'm gonna watch Thirst this weekend. And I lurve Flight of the Red Balloon. Oh, and speaking of lurve, TCM just showed Hal Ashby's first movie The Landlord. If it's not his best work (it's too soon to make that sort of judgment), it still feels like one of those great debut features in which we witness a talented filmmaker throwing every idea he has onto the screen out...

I don't really think it's the weridest goddamn movie out there (trust me, there are some more screwed up movies out there O_O) but i do agree i was sorta bored with this one.I just can't watch this really (the special effects are great but i just fall asleep every time i attempt to watch this.) However, watch another kubrick movie like A Clockwork Orange or The Shining (haven't seen his other ...

Only thing I really disliked with the new film was that the actor playing Spock could not do the eyebrow thing. Only complaint I have.

Empire Strikes Back. I've seen a lot of great movies, many of them classics, but this one just comes together on a lot of different levels. Runner up: Raiders of the Lost Ark.
