get fdm, free download manager, your download speed will still suck but you won't have to worry(in most cases anyway) about losing your downloads if your connection drops or if you stop your internet.

I believe lighting them on fire decreases enemy morale, is more powerful, but is less accurate.

If you have the gold version, you are fully updated with the 1.3 patch for the main game. You may or may not have the 1.5 patch for Kingdoms though, but that's only about 100MB. Yeah some games tell you what build you have, but I have yet to see it in this game. Though I haven't really looked. But I have to assume it is somewhat up to date. get fdm, free download manager.... Wow, that's pretty cool. I'll have to look into...

It's better to have bad reputation with other factions than have your settlements riot from unrest. Exterminate settlements and slaughter the troops!

IIRC the Americas are useful simply for the expensive trade goods there, but it has been a long, long time since I played the game so I might be mistaken. I do remember the natives being very hostile though and resupply was a constant problem.

Adding Units to the Papal States

You also have to add the unit's graphics to the papal state's registry. I forget how to do it at the moment, but the process is pretty simple if you look around on twcenter.com you'll find it pretty easy.

just use the Lists Scroll either manually browse it from the Faction's Scroll(the small Lists Scroll button is located at the bottom of the Faction's Scroll) or Right click at the City/Castle tab (depending on which type of settlement u had just recently selected/deselected), located just at the bottom-center of the campaign map screen, and it will open up the Building Lists Scroll --its more or less a shortcut key from the buildings...

Well, I "left out" the fact that this wasn't the first time I'm trading map info with said country. I have noticed that the first time they will happily accept my map info for theirs, but after 30ish or so turns when I want to update my map it's a different story. Anyway you are missing the point, my grief is not really about having to pay so much but it's the fact that I have to "guess"...

Did you mod the descr_unit file to make the papal states a member of ownery? That's probably not a word but ehh. Not sure if the picture will show up(units outside the ownership have a peasant pic.) but it should be recruitable. There is probably a faction lookup for pictures, something I haven't dealt with.

think it's about 225 turns. You can get how many remains when you click on your faction shield on the campaign map

Well if you got all the way to turn 20s to 50s, you shouldn't be restarting. It's ok to loose a couple battles, you can't win everything. You won't be having fun if your trying to make it all perfect and maxed out. Good luck with the campaign.

Look for the Diplo guide somewhere on here, I believe there is a list of don'ts for rep on there.

Its good, but there are better mods out there (non-LOTR) . However, if you're really looking for a LOTR experience, it should deliver for a little while.

No offense. 1 region every 4 turns, how hard is that? I'm guessing you are autoing your battles because you can't fight one yourself, do the tutorials, go to the skirmish battles and play around them, pretty much get better at battle.
