ok so finally got around to playing some online... and wow, what a difference... borderlands is definitely meant to be played online, its a ton more fun... and considering i generally HATE playing games online, thats saying something... if youre planning on playing by yourself, id say wait for it to drop in price, but if youre going to play online, go for it, because its an absolute blast... ...

Right click the thing and select the info. The damage and rate of fire will be on there. You can use these to estimate the dps something does. I think the +damage on your shield applies to its damage only, just like the mod would behave on a weapon.

i enjoy it a lot too, unfortunatly i have 2 problems with it.. 1) if i dont patch it with the only single player patch i can find, my sound dies when trying to play it. and doing the little direct x fix didnt work for me. 2) if i do patch it, i either get such horrible video artifacts on npc faces or the game crashes when i try to enter the game (seems to be a 50/50 chance) so unfortunatly i ...
