Some people wanted this feature too. Some people were asking whether there was this feature. Well, to me, it would be great, as when you are busted you won't lose out too much. But I think it would look a little weird.

If its for missions you could always replay the again to catch what you missed. If it was a message that popped up while your not on a mission/free-roaming then press start and go to briefing (I think) the icon is a note-pad I believe. It normally shows that last few things that popped up on the screen so you could read them again.
