Everyone hates FFVII because: For a long time after it was released, it was actually hailed by many as the "greatest game of all time." If not that, plenty of people viewed it as hands down the "best RPG of all time." FFVII was king of the JRPG world. Then Advent Children came out and started the Compilation. FFVII popularity dropped like a rock (FFVII gamefaqs board went from 8 consecutive years of staying...

Added Effect + Hades is my morning vote While that is an interesting set ups, they aren't "linkable". Combos must be linked I will be leaving town for Thanksgiving this afternoon, so my time online will be limited. Please bare with me and I'll try to have an update later this week.

r2+l2 is set up by pressing up on the psp's analog stick. You are also able to customize the button layout through the options.

^ which is exactly why the Compilation is solely a money cow. No planning, no attempt to mesh things smoothly, just "omg we r making game and make stuff up as go along."

Mega-all affects a lot more commands than just deathblow. It affects Steal/Mug, Sense, Attack (becomes slash-all), and just about every other command. While regular All only works with (most) magic.

Typical fanboy response. You have no proof that people hate the game do to try to look cool. That's extremely stupid and doesn't make sense as nobody should care what random strangers think on the Internet. Typical new user response, especially one that failed to grasp the difference. Its just a matter of opinion. Personally i find all FF games to be great. FF7 just set the bar due to the new CGI and animated graphics. Its was 3d compared to the overtop view from the previous games. The story(generally speaking) and combat style was similar to the previous games. Say if FF8 was the first on playstation then more than likely everyone will be saying FF8 was the greatest FF game ...

Alot of what Cloud "remembers" in FFVII, he did not really experience...It was Jenova, playing mind games, on the characters, and the players... There could be a reason that certain information was intentionally not passed on to Cloud, such as high tech training. Only good excuse I can think of

There are people who do like the compilation, and approach any speculation with "developers said no, sry" That's the worst thing that happened when the compilation started. I can handle the spectacular mediocrity, but it's a damn shame that this forum stopped being a place for speculation and theorizing just because Nomura released an interview explaining why AC was so horrible.

In all fairness, the Compilation contradicts itself in too many ways to tie everything in. They'd probably just make up something new in order to lead into a new spinoff and then ret-con said additions for the spinoff when it eventually comes out.
