Yes. In officer mode you must have a friend. As in, another officer in the game who is friends with your officer. Then when choosing who to
deploy in a battle have the second player push start.

You have to select it in the pre-battle preparation screen (before you start the battle). It'll stay selected after you pick it, but you do have to pick it first.

Some of the characters that were cloned in DW6 have been given a new weapon and their own
fighting style in Empires. This is a good thing. However, DW6 does have Musou Mode which is one of the things I've always enjoyed the most when playing DW games. There are no storylines to follow and the battles are therefore not scripted with character X launching amush Y at time T, etc. What you have instead, is control over a kingdom and its resources. This lets you control (if you're the ruler) who goes
into battle, how many troops they have, what level weapons they're fighting with, etc. The biggest thing is just making sure you have guys leveled up...
