Wow, after playing so many SP tight classes, the monk advancement comes as quite a shock. I've got 5 in Lucky Straight, Smasher and its cancel, and Second Uppercut, as well as 279 points left. Scythes, Totems or Axes are what most monks use. However you can use any weapon you want really, I've seen Monks PvP with Crosses. >_> I personally use a Scythe for speed, some prefer the Axe due to it's power and hit stun. However most use a totem due to the best PvP weapon being a Blizzard Totem.

Remember to consider the attack speed as well.

It depends. Some people never do anything outside of parties again, after experiencing Thunderland or Grakquarak. Others start partying at Puppet Museum or Vestibule of Darkness. Then there are some people who don't feel the need to solo until a Behemoth stage, like First or Second Spine. I never had any problems with the miss ratio in vestibul. It's only bad when the lights are off which is normal. So this and other than that the boss has a high evasion rate to begin with (which is normal) but other than that its fine. I don't know why people say it has a high miss ratio when it doesn excpet for when the lights are off other than that its fine.

you MUST take cancel ducking dash and sway, cancel smasher is a good investment. Second uppercut needs 5 pts no more for the twister skill. The will drivers are not necessary, if you're going to take 1 get the totem one but dont priorise this you will rarely fight in your circle. Pheonix hammer is up to you, monks have a ton of extra SPs so 1 pt in it wouldnt hurt your build.
