Well, my official Fluidity ball no longer holds air. But, my cheapo Walmart/Target balls are still fluffy and happy.

All I have to say is, you must get that disc fixed! I've been watching the 2nd one last night/this morning and it's the best part (IMO) b/c it has the most Mr. Darcy scenes!!!

Most of Tony Horton's workouts show band options. The workouts on Power Half Hour all have someone using the band (but the music isn't that great, though IIRC, there is a 'no music' option so you can use your own).

Susan, I know what you are saying. I don't like it either, But, I think a lot of this type of talk is to sell a product. Sad, but true.

This is one of the few that I can think of that have two separate, long workouts on one DVD, instead of her usual four short. I like it so much that I don't mind going straight through. That's what I do anyway with her shorter workouts. I don't recall if she does all upper or lower body first so you could just stop. Check the Reviews section.

I'd suggest starting with The Bar Methods, since they have great form instruction.
Have fun!

These shoes didn't work for me at all and I sent them back. The "mini bosu" hurt the balls of my feet, especially during long walks. Too bad because I really wanted to like them since I like the looks. I never got around to using them for other than fitness walking.

The pain in my ankles ranges from barely noticable sensation to sharp and severe, but is there pretty much constantly. I have asked a few doctors about it, but they have all been no help at all since the problem results from chronic ankle instability due to ligament laxity -- or over-stretched ligaments. This can only be resolved (apparently) with surgery the risks of which (again apparently) far...

After the songs are formatted onto my desktop with my old version of Windows Media, I close that program and plug in the Sansa and move the formatted songs manually into the Sansa.
Sorry, not explaining it well. I have an old computer, it is easy to move songs into the Sansa that way for me.

I recently heard someone discussing a baseball player who played ice hockey growing up. The comment was made that he was brought up in Pennsylvania so OF COURSE he could ice skate! My entire family did so, and I remember having pink plastic "training" ice skates. We were constantly outside, both winter and summer, and I think this also provided a break for the neighborhood moms! We played in ...

Jungle Gym vs. TRX?
Does anyone know the difference between these 2 devices? I see that the TRX has an extensive media library. Also on the TRX site they seem to place more emphasis on the ability to do cardio moves with it. But based on the photos and video clips they look virtually the same in how they function. Is there any real ...

If the average was 7 pounds, then overall the group lost 406 pounds.
Not too shabby. If 58 people exercise for 12 weeks and lose a total of 406 pounds, that's pretty good IMO.
Especially if they didn't change their diets....because if these people were obese, as stated, they must have had pretty bad diets. Just think how much they would have lost with the exercise combined with a ...

That 40% off MSRP is not the sale we'd been expecting, sadly.

To buy or not to buy: How do YOU decide?
So....
The purpose of this thread is NOT to enable OR dis-enable anyone. But, I would like to steal your "smart purchases" ideas.
There are just so many good or curious workouts out there...and sadly, so little time.
I'm tempted to buy more often that is reasonable. And, yet,...

Anyone successfully switched from soda to tea?
I'm trying to swap out my 1-cola-a-day habit for something healthier and I'm thinking of trying green tea. I've been thinking about this since New York City ran those anti-soda billboards last summer.

For me the biggest difference in lifting and firming my rear was finally paying proper attention to both my lower body and posterior chain (hamstrings, glutes, low back, etc.) thanks to New Rules of Lifting and kettlebells.
I can't say any one exercise in particular is responsible, but I'll credit a combination of swings, deadlifts (both the conventional / bent-legged and the straight-legged ...
